Homework for May 11-15

LA-

We are reading our novel in class so there is no homework this week.

Field day is Wednesday.  Bring the following: towel or blanket to sit on, sunglasses, sunscreen, 2 water bottles or sports drink bottles (one for the morning and one for the afternoon), a hat or visor, and be sure and wear sneakers/tennis shoes.

Homework for May 4-8

LA-

We are reading a novel in class.  The only homework this week is to read 20-30 pages in their books.

Please remember to bring a DEAR book to class each day.

Homework for May 1O

LA-

We will be going to the book fair on Monday.  Students in my class were given a list of the summer reading book selections.  The book fair will be selling 6 of them.  Here are the prices so if students want to bring money on Monday, they may purchase the three books to read this summer. There is no tax on the books.

Black Beauty    $9.99

Crash  $6.50

Freak the Mighty  $6.99

Old Yeller  $5.99  This book is the required title for rising 7th graders.

Peak  $5.99

Where the Red Fern Grows  $6.99

All library books are due and any fines need to be paid to the media center.

Homework for April 29-30

LA-

The following items will be due this Friday, May 1:

1.  Completed genre charts.

2.  Completed reading logs.

3.  All library books are due in the media center on May 1st.

We will do our final millionaire count so be sure and bring a calculator to class on Friday.

Each student will be responsible for bringing a DEAR book from home to class each day until school is out.

Homework for April 27-28

LA-

Get parent signature on your progress report.

Persuasive papers are due on Wednesday.  Be sure to turn in your paper, rough draft, and brainstorming sheet.

Bring in a self-addressed stamped envelope to your homeroom teacher.  Remember that postage will be going up to 44 cents in May.

Homework for April 20-25

We are taking the CRCT tests this week.  Your only homework is to read in your book each night.

Read 20-30 pages in your book.

Complete workbook pages 161-164.  First period needs to complete pages 161-162 only.

Bring in a piece of candy with the label attached for tomorrow's activity.

Read 20-30 pages in your book.

Complete workbook pages 153-156.

DOL quiz tomorrow over numbers 16-20.

Homework for April 14

LA-

Read 20-30 pages in your book.

Complete workbook pages 147, 149, and 151.  You may do the backside of these three pages for bonus.

Homework for April 13

LA-

Read 20-30 pages in your book.

Complete any sections of the workbook pages not completed in class (141-146).
