Orange Social Studies Book

On the main page, type in your username and password, then click the orange login button.

When (or if) the "set up requirements" dialog box pops up, just click the enter button in the bottom right hand corner.

Our textbook is MyWorld studies Georgia Grade 6.

Click on the title and you will go to a page with a calendar and LOTS of white space. 

 Click on the "Launch eText" button in the top right hand corner of the screen.

You can choose the English or Spanish version of the text book.

This brings up a new window with a FULLY searchable version of the online textbook.

All classes - Finish reading, highlighting and annotating the NAFTA article, then fill out the Pro/Con sheet, Finish reading, highlighting and annotating the Parliamentary Democracy WS, and Study Guide questions 3, 7-10.

Most of you finished the majority of this work. Excellent use of class time!

Economics

Our economics unit is very short! The TEST is Feb. 9th. next Thursday.

Great examples are being given in class to describe market economies with supply and demand as the focus.

Moving on to Economics

Great job this week! All of you are learning more, growing, and maturing everyday!

Purple and Green - No homework - We will continue with Economics next week. Check your syllabus for up-coming activities.

Red and Blue - We will clean out the government material from your binders on Monday. Please make sure you have a new folder to put your government paper work in on Monday. You will also be getting a new syllabus and study guide on Monday.

Remember asking for help can only make you stronger

Remember that if you need to study more than your friend, then you need to study more than your friend. You all have different strengths and weaknesses.

Last reminder, every job has some aspect that is not going to be the most enjoyable thing to do, but we have to do it anyway. Sometimes are classes are like that, but you have to get the work done anyway.
