Gather as many box tops from food products as possible.  Place them in a sealable plastic bag and staple it to the slip you received from your homeroom teacher.  Be sure to put your name on the slip and bag. Turn them in to your homeroom teacher daily.  The first set of 10 will earn you a piece of candy.  The first set of 30, a coupon for a Chick-fil-a milkshake or kids meal.  Highest earners will win more Chick-fil-a goodies!  There is even the possibility that the highest earning homeroom will receive a special prize.

Thanks to the students in my homeroom who turned in over 200 box tops today alone!  We are well on our way to possibly being the homeroom who collects the most box tops!  Keep them coming.

1. Introduced to Lsn. 12 vocab. words.

2. Began Lsn. 12 vocab. key-term fold.  Directions are as follows:

• Front side - Title (first strip) & standard heading information
• Front side - Write one of each of the ten vocab. words on the remaining strips and color each strip.
• Cut the strips bearing the vocab. words (so they fold back to reveal what' s underneath)
• Write the definition (located in the Rev It Up! book) for each word under the appropriate strip.
• On the back of each vocab strip place a picture showing the meaning of each word.  You may use printed pictures or draw them.  They must be colored before submitted for a grade.  Ex. If you print black & white pictures, simply color them in with a colored pencil.

• Setting - Describe (in detail) the setting of your book.  Where does it take place? What time period?  Describe the environment with rich, descriptive language.  Find a quote from the reading that supports your response.  Include the page number on which it is located.
