1. Reviewed & submitted HW. Most classes received work back today.
2. Finished & submitted video notes (Frayer Model format) on Prehistoric Earth (Fossils).
3. Began Lsn. 7-3 (Theory of Plate Tectonics) discussion & (modified) Cornell notes. (Periods 1, 2, & 6) submitted the unfinished notes at the end of class today. We will finish them tomorrow.

1. Use the Lsn. 7-3 (Theory of Plate Tectonics) notes, dir. rdng WS, and other relevant materials to prepare for the quiz, which will be given on Fri. (1/27). It was moved to Fri. in lieu of the honor roll breakfast, which will be held on Thur. (1/26) morning.

2. Introduced to Lsn. 11 vocab. words.
3. Began Lsn. 11 vocab. picture flashcards. The instructions are as follows:
- Use 11 uniform index cards (or same size notebook paper).
- Front side - Draw a detailed, colored picture that represents the meaning of each word. You may print up to 5 colored pictures to substitute for hand-drawn illustrations. The other 5 must be hand-drawn.
- Back side - Write the corresponding word, definition, & part of speech.
- Make another card to use as a "cover card" bearing a full heading & the lesson title.
- Place all 11 cards in a zip-loc or comparable baggie.
Homework
Work on the Lsn. 11 vocab. picture flashcards (as described above). Due Thur. (1/26).
