Dear Parents and Students,
I apologize for being off line and absent so long. Your students have been in great hands. Mrs. Glenn, Mrs. Hudson, and I have been working together on instruction and grades for the last three weeks. Enrichment lessons covering African Aids and the bombing of Hiroshima have been just a few of the topics studied. All assignments are being posted on Mrs.Hudson's blog.
All textbooks should have been turned in by now.
Students will be working on a mini unit: " Ethnic Conflict" for the last two weeks of school. I will be actively involved in the final grading for the year.
I wish that I could be there but I'm still under a cardiologist's care. I ignored 2 fatal signs of a possible heart attack thinking the pain was from my back problems and not the heart. After spending a week in the hospital with atrial fibrillation,(luckily, no heart attack),received a a cardioversion, then I was released to go home and rest. Unfortunately, the atrial fibrillation continues to reappear creating additional decisions to be made. Best thing about all of this: is we caught it early and I'm fixable! I do miss my wonderful students and hope I can see them one last time before the end of school. Even though I am not there I would expect them to keep up with their work and be well behaved for my substitutes.
Hope to see you soon.
Mrs. Baylor
