ELA7RC1 The student reads a minimum of 25 grade-level appropriate books or book equivalents (approximately 1,000,000 words) per year from a variety of subject disciplines. The student reads both informational and fictional texts in a variety of genres and modes of discourse, including technical texts related to various subject areas.

Using Ladders to Success students will work with Making Inferences on pg. 84.
Homework
- Read a challenging biography/autobiography book for 30 minutes. The biography/autobiography book must be read by 1/30.
- Have the book chat Newsletter for Biography signed
Activities
- Students will complete a prediction handout on what they think they will learn in their biography/autobiography book. This will be collected for a classwork grade.
- Students will go over the book chat Newsletter for Biography.
