This week we will be using Chapter 21 to help us with the History , Governments , Economies and Culture of the region of South Asia .

Monday - we will continue our notes from the power point - outlining the chapter.

Week of Jan. 27 - Feb. 1

It was great to meet so many parents last week and I really appreciate you coming to conferences.

This week will will be finishing up our study of Africa and will have a
Quiz on Friday Feb. 1 over Southern African Countries .

Wednesday, will will have the the reception for the Honor Roll student in the a.m. - be here on time !
Also , Seventh Grade will have a Performing Arts program at the school.

Start getting prepared for the Jekyll trip - have everything packed the night before and go to bed early !

Week of Jan. 14 -18

This week we will have our Writing Assessment on Wednesday morning - please be here and on time !

Monday & Tuesday we will be read one of our Reading Essential book - South Africa & do a Scavenger Hunt for information .
Thursday & Friday we will return to the text to complete Chapter 19 with a test next Wednesday, Jan. 23.

Please remember that we will be observing the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday</u> next Monday-Jan. 21-
School Holiday
Also, please remember that next week Tuesday , Jan. 22- 28, through the following Monday will be early Conference Week with Early Release time for the students at 2:15 each day .

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day Holiday last week !

This week we are finishing our data charts about the West African countries and then completing the analysis activity .

Progress Reports will go out on Tuesday - please have them signed and return them on Wednesday.

We will begin Chapter 18 Western and Central Africa  - we will discuss the Historical , Political, and
Economic factors of the region.

Next Wednesday , we will have a quiz over the countries and capitals of the 16 West African nations.
Students should have a copy to study with but here is an on -line copy :
