For the second year, the 9th District of Georgia PTA added an awards opportunity for our PTA/PTSAs based on the six National Standards for Family-School Partnerships. Local unit PTA/PTSAs and Council PTAs were encouraged to submit a brief narrative describing the highlights of their programs, as well as documentation about how PTA/PTSA is currently implementing the National Standards for Family-School Partnerships. The National Standards, Goals, and Indicators for Family-School Partnerships can be found at www.pta.org/National_Standards. Reports were judged & awarded in three category levels, using the National Standards Assessment rubric available at www.pta.org/EducationNation/NationalStandardsAssessmentGuide.
Awards were presented at the 9th District Spring Conference.
The “Best Ideas” was compiled from the reports received and made available on the Georgia PTA website, 9th District page - www.georgiapta.org/about-district9.
Mabry was one of 7 schools in District 9 to receive the awards. The Mabry PTSA earned the Silver Level Award for Welcoming All Families, Communicating Effectively, Supporting Student Success, and Collaborating with the Community.
At the Council Level, Mabry PTSA earned awards for Model PTSA and Best Ideas School.
The Mabry PTSA also received the Oak Tree Award, Got 4 More, and Platinum Award for our outstanding membership.
Thank you for your support!
